Legal Dilemma: Can the PF Department Seal Land Despite a Court Stay? Seeking Advice

Dear All, Our company is purchasing land, and before the registry, they had given 90% of the amount to the landowner. Unfortunately, the sales tax department has raised a heavy demand on the landowner, and they are forcing recovery from us. In our sale agreement, it is clearly mentioned that we are only purchasing the land, not the liability of the company. In response to this, we have lodged an FIR against them, and the case has been forwarded to the high court, which has granted a stay on purchasing the land.

Now, another demand has been raised by the PF department against 14b and 7q, and they are also pressuring us to pay the demand; otherwise, they have threatened to seal the land. Is it possible for them to seal the land when the court has issued a stay on the same? How can they recover from us when we are only purchasing the land?

Please provide suggestions as soon as possible.

Best regards, Sanjeev
