ESI Benefits for Miscarriage: Do I Need More Than 9 Months of Experience to Qualify?

vidwanmaniurs
I have 7 months of work experience in an organization, and I wanted to know if there is any rule in ESI that my experience should be more than 9 months to get ESI benefits of 42 days leave with encashment and expenditure reimbursement for miscarriage. It was an emergency admission in a private hospital.

If you have contributed for more than 70 days during the two previous contribution periods, you are eligible for benefits. However, you should report the case to your panel doctor/dispensary and obtain a mandatory certificate. Submit the same to the branch office to receive monetary benefits.
