a) first regulations related to labour laws/ environment/ health n safety need to be adhered to. make a comprehensive list of all the applicable legislations in ur case and chk whether the same has been enforced in your company..
b) ask your auditors for their compliance checklist
or you may even get the same from Underwriter's laboratory/ BVQI or any other certification body for that matter...
c) visit the websites of WRAP(worldwide responsible apparel production", ETI ie ethical trading initaitive, SA 8000 ie socail accountability...
read the stnadards thoroughly, it will help you in keeping abreast of social/ ehs compliance.....
