Can I Withdraw My PF If I Worked Less Than 6 Months and the Company Closed?

Dhanss
Sir, I worked from 12 Dec 2013 to 31 May 2014 in one company, and now the employer has closed his company. Is it possible to withdraw my account? I heard that only employees with at least 6 months of service can withdraw their accounts.

When you will join any firm next, you can file for a transfer of this account. Don't try to withdraw funds from it.

It is possible to withdraw after only 6 months of working because many times some employees are not interested in transferring to this account.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

PF is a retirement welfare scheme, so we always suggest keeping it in force, though there is no bar to withdraw after leaving a job and being unemployed for 60 days or more.

Sir, I worked from 08 November 2008 to 30 August 2015 in one company. I have not withdrawn my EPF. How can I transfer my EPF to a new company? Please advise.

@jamwalsimple, log in with your UAN to this portal and file a transfer claim at One Employee One PF.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

@Jamwal, your duty is to submit the details only. Now, the EPFO will look into the matter and make the transfer. It is not a "dormant" account anymore. Let the EPFO match their records with the previous employer and complete the job.

Dear All,

I have transferred my PF from my previous employer to my current employer, but they have only sent the PF amount and not the pension amount. Will the pension amount for less than 6 months be transferable or not? Kindly update me.

Thanks,
H. D.

If the UAN number is the same and seeded, then there is nothing to worry about. It will get displayed later.
