Entered Wrong PF Number for Rehired Employee: How Can I Fix It?

Hello, I want to inquire about what happens if we enter the wrong PF number of an employee and submit the PF challan. How can I change the PF number of a particular employee in this scenario? An employee left the organization, but later rejoined. I mistakenly entered a different PF number for him. How can I edit the PF number now? Additionally, the employee has a UAN number.

For rectification of any specific wrong challan, submit Form 3A of the specific wrong challan and Form 12A manually. This will allow the accounts department to make the necessary rectification. If this process is repeated for several months, it is advisable to discuss the issue with the department. After the completion of Form 23 (annual accounts), it is not possible to transfer the details.
