Worried About Background Checks? What Happens If Your Previous Company Closed?

Ashokakarla
Hi, recently I have joined an MNC company after working in two different companies. I came to know that my first company closed 3-4 months ago, but they were still providing email and call support for background verification to previous employees. My doubt is, will that company be considered a fake company now that it's closed? I have all the necessary documents like offer/relieving/experience letters and payslips. What would be my situation if my current company finds out about this?

Understanding the Definition of "Fake"

If the definition of the word "fake" is understood exactly and properly, such a question will not arise. The word can be defined differently depending on the context of its usage. Here, limiting it to the context of the post, anything which is not authentic or genuine, or which appears to be real but is only an imitation, sham, lookalike, fictitious, imaginary, or non-existent, is considered fake.

A company, irrespective of its constitution, cannot become fake just because it closes after a certain period of operation. When the poster has all the authentic documents issued by the company earlier during his employment with it, and an effective arrangement for background verification regarding its previous employees is still in place, this query emanates only out of unnecessary anxiety and unknown fear of the individual.
