Is My Understanding of ESIC Contributions Correct for Both Employees and Employers?

Hello all,

Greetings for the day!

I am working as an HR in a company and wanted to know if ESIC is calculated as 1.75% of the gross for employee contribution and 3.75% of the gross for employer contribution. Is this correct?

Gross salary ESI Contribution:
Employee = 1.75% of Gross salary
Employer = 4.75% of Gross example: 10000 gross.

Employee contribution:
1.75% * 10000 = 175
Employer contribution:
4.75% * 10000 = 475
