Facing Union Pressure: How Should I Handle Threats and Misbehavior at Work?

vastavaamit
Hi, dear Sir,

During work today, a marketing executive called some union members who then shouted at me, saying, "We will ban your work. You cannot collaborate with the executive in the whole region." They misbehaved towards me, with almost 20 people involved. They also warned me not to disclose anything to the marketing executive.

Are they planning to ban my collaboration work? In case of misbehavior, what steps can I take?

Thank you.

Simply go to the local police station and lodge an FIR against that union. They cannot engage in wrongful restraint and threaten anybody. Also, lodge a complaint with the Registrar of the Union of your state along with any CCTV footage you may have. Accompany that with the FIR copy. If the registrar does not take action, contact the Central Labor Commissioner and lodge a complaint or go to the High Court.
