Who Regulates Cement Industry Wages: State or Central Government?

Can I know if the cement industries fall under the jurisdiction of the State Government or the Central Government, and could you also provide information on the category of the industry?

Cement Industry Wage Guidelines

Cement industries have a Cement Wage Board if they are a member of the CMA. By virtue of this, the CMA and trade union federations sign agreements in their joint meetings. However, some cement manufacturing units are not members of the CMA; hence, the Wage Board is not applicable to them. In such cases, units located in respective states will observe State Wage Notified rates as notional wages. Please do a Google search to locate the desired details. You will need to study MW rates and the strength of your unit before executing the notification.
