Instructions for Members with UAN

For members who already have a UAN number, they need to log in with their UAN and print the form. If the date of exit is not provided by the previous employer, they must input the DOE and take a screenshot or PDF print of it. This printout should be submitted to the current employer along with the new Form 11 (one page). This process will assist the current employer in easily linking the accounts. If the bank and Aadhaar/PAN are also linked in UAN, then the auto-trigger for transfer is also executed.

If the joining member does not have a UAN, i.e., first time getting enrolled in EPFO, then they can get upfront UAN generation with EPFO by visiting this portal [EPFO || For Citizens](http://www.epfindia.com/site_en/CitizensServices.php?id=sm16_index). They need to provide bank details (mandatory) plus at least one document and other necessary information. The member can also upload the photograph and signature, which will be printed on their UAN card.

I tried to get UAN for a new employee from the upfront portal, and it requires a photo and signature as mandatory fields. It seems a little bit time-consuming. Can I upload the Challan for October 2016 as per the old process or not? Please advise.

Photo and signature are optional. However, there is no bar to follow the old procedure and get UAN generated after filing ECR.

Thank you, Mr. Sharma, for your reply. Photo and signature are mandatory fields. I have already tested and enrolled two employees and am awaiting UAN numbers on their registered mobile numbers. Further processing will be checked/tested. Please keep updating us.
