I was working in an IT company for 5 years. I signed an employment agreement in January 2016 for one year. However, my father passed away last month in a road accident, and my mother was seriously injured. This led to a financial crisis, and I felt disappointed. Consequently, I resigned from my position with a 7-day notice period as I had a good opportunity in another company. My previous employer was not willing to increase my salary or offer any other assistance to help me support my family. According to the agreement, I was supposed to serve a 60-day notice period or pay 2 lakh rupees. The employer had the authority to terminate any employee without notice and without paying two months' salary. I have since joined a new employer, but my previous employer is refusing to provide a relieving letter and is threatening legal action against me. What is the solution?
