I recently received a confirmation letter after completing my training and probation period. The confirmation letter contains a term regarding education allowance. Kindly help me understand what exactly this allowance means. In the company's offer letter, there was a stipulation that I cannot pursue any educational courses alongside my job. Could you please clarify my doubt?

At certain places, allowances are given as per professional courses completed. Educational allowances are also provided to employees who have school-going children. The clause regarding not pursuing any educational courses while employed seems unusual, as no organization can restrict you from acquiring additional knowledge outside of office hours.
