Pf Calculation - Basic Salary 8000 And Da 2000 Hra 2000

sk4882937@gmail.com
Dear Sir or Madam,

If a person has a basic salary of 8000, DA of 2000, HRA of 2000, and works for 20 days in the month of September, then the gross salary would be 9333. Could you please calculate the PF amount and explain the calculation method? Please solve this and provide an example to illustrate.

Thank you.
Glidor
10000 * 80 / 100 = 8000 basic, 12% = 960

9333 * 80 / 100 = 7466 basic, 12% = 896

Dear SK 4882937,

PF is deductible on earned Basic & DA. If an employee is drawing Basic Rs. 8,000 and DA Rs. 2,000 per month, then 20 days' salary for September would be 8000 + 2000 = 10,000 * 20 / 30 = 6,667 (Earned Basic & DA).
Thus, the PF contribution will be on Rs. 6,667 * 12 / 100 = Rs. 800.
