Bank details of employees change after submitting and approving KYC details by the employer. If the employer uploads the changed bank details of the employee again, will the bank details be updated in the EPF database?
Yes, the employer can upload it again. However, if any incident happens to the fund due to wrong seeding, then the liability will be thrown to the employer. So, the employer has to seek a self-attested copy of the document and Form 11 duly filled with every such request from the employee.
After uploading and DSC approval by the employer, it takes approximately 45 days to show on the EPFO SRO terminal. The principal UAN office has to verify the data, and then they allow it.
I am Baburam Choudhary from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I worked with an organization in Baroda and resigned from there in September 2014 after 2 years of service.
Now, I want to make a PF withdrawal. I am facing some confusion regarding the bank account details as I have already updated a bank account there.
Could you please guide me on the next steps for EPFO withdrawal if the bank account details are already updated?
You have to submit Form 19 and 10C to the organization and update your bank details, which should be updated on your UAN portal. Then, follow up with HR to confirm whether the forms have been submitted to the PF office. If they have been submitted, make sure to get a receipt of submission and check the PF claim status through http://epfindia.com<link updated to site home>.
As you mentioned that previously provided bank details cannot be erased, would it be acceptable if two bank details are present in the KYC information? Will this potentially cause complications in the future? Currently, they only have one active bank account that needs to be updated.
To update the bank details through the member portal, a cancelled cheque leaf must be uploaded. However, some employees do not have cheque books as a minimum balance is required in the account to obtain a cheque book from the bank.
Thank you, Mr. US Sharma, for your valuable comments. However, my concern is that I have wrongly entered my IFSC Code in my portal, and the employer approved the same digitally. Following the employer's suggestion, I have rectified the error and updated it for digital approval, but it still shows as pending. The employer is unable to locate the updated information and seems disinterested in resolving the issue. Are there any other options available for this situation?
I have an alternative bank account number. Can I update this information and request digital approval? Please provide guidance.
Hi, I am encountering the following error in the EPFO portal.
KYC change in Bank Account Number, submitted by the employer on 04/12/2018, is pending with TBS2 SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED for approval. You will be able to submit the claim once this KYC is approved/rejected. I have already spoken to the employer, but they are unsure how to resolve it.
I see the following message below as my previous employer added a duplicate company accidentally in my PF account when creating it for them. Now that my current employer has linked with a unique UAN, whenever I click on the claim, I get this message. The previous employer's vendor is unable to fix this even after following up with the PF office by submitting the required forms for more than a year now.
How to fix this issue
The pending with the company is an anonymous organization, and pending with them does not make sense. Please help, as this started last June 2019 and still no fix.
KYC change in Bank Account Number submitted by the employer on 29/06/2019 is pending with LIGHTSOURCE RENEWABLE ENERGY INDIA OPCO PRIVATE LIMITED for approval. You will be able to submit the claim once this KYC is approved/rejected.
You, as an employer, can add and approve employees' bank details for as many accounts as they have. However, please ensure that Aadhaar, PAN, and mobile numbers are linked with the new bank account.
Check the latest changes in the PF Portal. Employees can now make most of the changes on their own, and the employer's concurrence is no longer required.
