Confused About Filling Employer Details for EPF Withdrawal: Need Guidance

rahul.pramanik
I am trying to withdraw my EPF and am faced with confusion. I was working in a company in Goa for three years (from 2011-2014) and had an EPF account where money was getting deposited. I left that organization to join a Bangalore startup and worked there for one and a half years (from March 2015 to August 2016). This startup did not have any PF, and hence my EPF account remained dormant. The EPF account is still a Goa establishment account. As it has been two months since I left my last employment, I am trying to withdraw my PF and have downloaded Form 19 and 10-C for filing. However, both forms have a section where it is asking for "name and establishment where last employed." Form 10-C also has an "Attestation of employer" segment where they fill up details of wages, the number of days, etc.

Confusion About Employer Details in EPF Withdrawal Forms

1. I am confused about whether I should put my employer's name and address of my Goa company or my Bangalore startup.

2. Who will fill up the attested by the employer segment in Form 19?

I am guessing that since my EPF account is still the Goa one, it has to be my Goa company as they created the EPF account and made the last contribution, and my Bangalore company had nothing to do with it. But I am not sure and don't want to fill up any wrong info.

Senior members, kindly advise on the same.

Last employer means the employer (Goa) where you have last contributed with EPF, and they are only authorized to attest/sign the forms.

Dear Rahul,

Please download UAN-based Form 19 and 10-C. In this, it is not necessary to obtain the employer's signature or attestation.

Hello, Miss Sushma Chaudhary, can you please guide me on how to apply online for my EPF claim? Actually, last year, I moved abroad, and I want to apply for my PF online. However, I don't know exactly how to do it. I had already applied for PF when I was in India before moving to Canada. They sent a letter mentioning that the authorized person's signature did not match. It wasn't my mistake as this should have been uploaded by the company, but I don't know why they didn't upload it.

So, I am trying to claim online. I have a UAN member portal, but when I logged in, it shows that my date of joining and leaving is not updated yet. I contacted my HR manager and requested him to upload it ASAP, but it's still not uploaded. Also, is it possible to receive the claim amount in another bank account?

Thank you.

Hello,

On my EPF Portal, currently, my salary bank is linked. However, post my notice period is over, I will be closing that account as the minimum required balance is Rs. 100,000. Now, after 2 months, if I have to apply for an EPF withdrawal, how will my claim be settled? Is it okay if I provide a canceled check of a different savings bank account that is not linked on the EPF Portal? Will my claim be accepted or rejected?

Thanks,
vmlakshminarayanan
Hi,

You can remove the old bank account and upload new bank account details, and then claim for PF after two months from your date of relieving, provided you are not employed. A cancelled cheque is required only for physical PF claim form submission.

Thank you.
