Worried About Old Employment Records? How Background Checks Might Affect Your Job Hunt

I am looking for information on the impact of background checks on my previous employment history. Currently, I am considering transitioning to my fourth employer, Company D. In my prior employments, I worked for Company A, but it closed down 16 years ago due to reasons for which I was not responsible. I have all the relevant documents from my time with them when I left 16 years ago.

I am wondering if this is something I need to be worried about at all.

This will not have an impact on your verification process. The verification process, in general, will cover 8 years or the last 3 companies, which represents 8 years of your experience. However, there are some companies, especially in the BFSI domain, that check the candidate's entire experience.
