Old PF Account Left Dormant for Years: How Can I Withdraw My Funds Now?

asha.patel07@gmail.com
What can be done with the PF account which was opened before 11 years, and then after another PF account was opened with a new employer, and the previous PF account is not transferred to the current PF account nor has the PF amount been withdrawn?

Can we understand if it is an In-operative PF account? If it is, can we now withdraw the EPF & EPS amount? If yes, then how? Please guide me, guys.

In the above, I left my current employment a year ago. They may also be unable to assist if I attempt to transfer from my previous employer. My previous PF account dates back ten years, so online services are not available for it. When I tried to obtain a UAN for that old account, I received a message stating that my birthdate and PF member name do not match, preventing me from accessing any details online for that older PF account. Now, I ultimately need to withdraw the PF amount from both accounts. Please guide me on how to move forward in a positive direction. Regards

1) Non-contribution in any EPF account for 36 months makes it dormant or inoperative. After 36 months, it requires a lot of effort with the department to transfer or withdraw.

2) If the member is employed anywhere under the cover of EPF and is contributory, then some ways can be sorted out based on the available data.

You can try using this portal to add your previous account for transfer to the present: [One Employee One PF](http://oeoea.epfoservices.com/UANDEDUP/)

Dear Glidor,

I am K K Bhatia. I have a point regarding PF withdrawal. I retired in October 2014 after attaining 58 years and serving the company for 22.5 years. I have not withdrawn PF nor applied for Pension so far. I intend to do it at the end of 3 years. My point is to clarify from you whether it will be an operating account or an inoperative account as there is no further contribution to EPF, and it stopped in October 2014.

Please advise about it and also on the pension PPO.

Thanks and Regards,
Krishna

@Krishna,

File your claim right now. It will take some time to issue the PPO, as the case is of 22 years. While filing, the department will ask you the reason for the late filing, as it was due to file the claim just after 90 days.

After 36 months of non-contribution, the account goes dormant, and it will get tough to trace the records.

How to Retrieve EPF and Pension Funds from an Inoperative PF Account

I have registered on the EPF website http://59.180.231.60:9091/DashboardHelpdeskNew/ with all the details available to me. It has been one month, but so far, I have only received one message in my registered account stating, "Your case is transferred to the concerned field office. You will be contacted shortly." I believe this message is auto-generated.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to resolve this matter or to receive any updates or contacts to solve the issue and deposit my EPF and Pension amount into my bank account? Alternatively, how can I communicate with the PF personnel to resolve my problem?

Please note that my PF office is in Raipur, and I am residing in Gujarat, making it impossible for me to visit the PF office in person. Moreover, my employer is not responding to my follow-ups, which is why I resorted to registering an online helpdesk ticket.

Regards
