The Central Government, as the appropriate authority, issued a draft notification dated 06/10/2016 under the ESI Act, 1948 for enhancement and certain other amendments related to Maternity Benefit for eligible insured women. A copy of the draft notification is uploaded below for the information of the forum members. However, it is important to note that this is only a proposal or draft of the amendment, and the final notification is scheduled to be issued by the government after following the procedures laid down in the notification.
