The Cabinet rejects the Labour Ministry's proposal on the EPFO threshold. The limit for an enterprise to come under EPFO will be restored to 20 workers, as opposed to the proposed 10.
Positive Move for Small-Scale Enterprises/Industries.
If the Government/EPFO wants to cover up more workforce, the same initiative may be taken as suggested in ESI for New Areas by lowering the contribution and Contribution Subsidy for the Employer's part.
