How Can I Effectively Plan Training for NABH & NABL Hospital Staff Without Prior Experience?

@innov8.work
Hello All,

Greetings for the day!

I work as an HR Executive in a NABH & NABL certified hospital where I have been tasked with conducting training needs analysis for all the staff. I do not have prior knowledge of hospitals. Kindly, could anyone suggest how I should plan to conduct the training program?

Conducting a Training Needs Analysis

The basic rule of conducting a Training Needs Analysis is to identify the business objective and determine how training can meet this objective. Here are some possible objectives:

1) Better customer satisfaction
2) Faster turnaround times
3) Higher conversion rates

In the hospital scenario, satisfying patients' needs by being more hospitable and courteous can be identified as an objective. Once you've determined the objective, assess what training can enhance employees' skills to meet these objectives more efficiently. In the above example, you could consider communication skills or emotional intelligence as possible options.

Prepare an Excel sheet to note down these details for the staff members, mapping objectives and gaps that can be addressed with training. This will enable you to develop a more specific answer and provide you with something worth presenting to your superiors. Let me know if you need further help.
