Struggling to Find Your 15-Year-Old PF Number? Here's How to Track It Down and What to Do Next

Lokesh0503
I want to know how to find out my PF number, which I had in my first company about 15 years back. I cannot trace my salary slip, I have not withdrawn that PF, nor have I merged that with other PF accounts.

Can I get this information from any source? The company does not exist now, so I cannot track it from there. Would I be able to merge or withdraw from that account if I find out these details, and what's the procedure?

Thanks
Glidor
You have to remind at least your EPF member ID, then get in touch with the concerned EPF office PRO. They will help you to trace and update/transfer your account. Without the member ID, nobody can help. Establishment search can be done with [Establishment Information Search](http://search.epfoservices.in/est_search.php).

You are trying to find and recover money from a PF account that has been inactive for 15 years?

I don't think you will be able to get anything out of that. The PF records have been digitized only recently. The prior period is mostly sitting in files in storage.

Do make an attempt by speaking to the PRO, but don't keep your hopes high.
