Understanding the Sandwich Rule: How Many Leave Days Should Be Deducted?

This is my first post on citehr. I have a query regarding the sandwich rule in leaves. An employee of my company took a full-day leave for Saturday. He joined the office on Monday in the second half.

My query is whether his deducted leaves will be of 2 and a half days or of 1 and a half days. Please provide your guidance as soon as possible.

1.5 days. The sandwich policy will be applicable if he/she has taken a full-day leave on another day after 2 holidays.

The leave will be 1.5 days only, not including Sunday, because he/she has joined the organization on the next Monday in the second half.
