I am working as an IT recruiter in Hyderabad. As IT recruiters, we need some knowledge on IT-related ERP packages, including their sub-modules and the exact skill sets that match particular positions or requirements. For example, if we have a requirement for Java with JSF, we would search for candidates based on this criteria. Therefore, we need at least some IT terminology knowledge, good communication skills, and the ability to connect with people's mentality and their interest in taking risks.

When discussing the skills required for an IT recruiter, I believe:

1) Good written and verbal communication skills.
2) Knowledge of MS-Excel for data management.
3) Good understanding of the clients you work with, including their business domain, employee strength, locations, and band structure. This information can also be useful for sourcing resumes.
4) Knowledge of the selection process of the clients.
