Minimum Period For Gratuity - Is Someone Who Completes 4 Years 6 Months Eligible?

please clarify : minimum period for gratuity
one who completes 4 years 6 months one day , he is eligible or not ?

For gratuity amount calculation, 6 months and one day will be rounded up to one year. But for eligibility, 6 months and one day will not be rounded up to one year. Hence those who has a service of only 4 years 6 months and one day will not get gratuity.

For Gratuity eligibility is 5 years and one day and for calculation if it is 6 months and one day it will be rounded off to one year.
