Name Discrepancy in Documents: Will It Affect My Job Applications and How to Fix It?

palash.rammaiya8@gmail.com
My name is written as Palash Pawan Rammaiya, son of Pawan Dulichand Rammaiya, on my CBSE X-XIIth marksheet. Here, my middle name is the first name of my father, and I have filled my details as per the Xth marksheet in CDS and all government/private exam forms. However, it is written as Palash Rammaiya, son of Pawan Rammaiya, on my graduation certificate, passport, birth certificate, PAN, and Aadhar card.

Will this difference in name cause any issues in the document verification process or during interviews? Would an affidavit stating that both names belong to one person be sufficient? If not, please guide me on what can be done to ensure that my candidature is not jeopardized. I am seeking your assistance earnestly.

Thank you.
Mahr
Hi Palash,

An affidavit pertaining to this information would be sufficient and much needed. Once you obtain the affidavit, please publish the same in a couple of newspapers in the information column and keep a published copy in your file.

I do not think there will be any problem. The mark sheets are not proof of ID; the other documents are the proof of ID, and all know that most Indian cultures put the father's name as the middle name.
