How Do I Register PF and ESI for a Long-Standing Proprietary Firm Started in 1997?

I want to know how to register PF and ESI for a Proprietary firm. The firm was started in the year 1997, yet they don't have EPF and ESI. What's the procedure to start the PF and ESI? Please tell me the process.

Sir, for coverage under the ESI Act, 1948, there must be employment of 10 or more persons in a unit. In order to obtain a code number under the said Act, one can try through the online procedure or contact the Social Security Officer of ESIC in the area where the unit is situated. You can also refer to the literature on ESI available on the department's website.
