To check PF status, it's best to visit the PF office or write an application to the PF office, addressing the Assistant PF Commissioner or whoever holds the highest position there. Usually, AFPF is the highest authority. The office should be from where your company's PF number is issued. Usually, this information can be collected from your HR department. Your HR can provide details about the contributions the company has made in the years you have been employed there from Form 3A and 6A, which are the annual returns filed by the company with the PF department. These documents contain information about the payments made throughout the year. You can request to see a copy of these documents. As you receive an 8.5% interest on contributions towards PF, it's advisable to obtain this information from the PF department by providing your PF code number.
