Dear All, I resigned from my job suddenly without a notice period two months ago due to an accident. I informed my boss about the accident and also expressed my desire to resign. My boss accepted my resignation and cleared my due payments. The job involves two shifts, one week of morning shift and one week of afternoon shift. Now that I have somewhat recovered, I would like to rejoin the company, but I can only commit to the fixed morning shift. This is because when we have the afternoon shift, I would have to travel at night, which I am unable to do as I had the accident during that time. Additionally, I come from a far distance with heavy traffic. If my boss agrees to my request, I would like to rejoin only for the morning shift. I am in need of assistance in drafting a letter to my boss regarding this matter. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Request to Rejoin with Fixed Morning Shift
Respected Sir, I am XXX. Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude for receiving my July salary. I am writing this letter to request my rejoining of the company. As you are aware, I resigned from the company two months ago due to a leg injury from a road accident. I have now recovered and would like to rejoin, provided a fixed morning shift can be arranged for me. I am unable to travel at night, especially during the night shift, due to the accident I experienced at that time. Considering the long distance and heavy traffic I have to navigate, a morning shift would be ideal for me to return to work.
I hope you will consider my request and take the necessary steps.
Thanks and Regards,
Yours sincerely, [Name Removed For Privacy Reasons]

Is this letter formal enough? Please let me know if any changes are required.
Thanks In Advance!
