BDM stands for Business Development Manager/Business Development Executive, who works or represents the company to others to generate business. They interact with clients, meet them, and convince them that the business is the best, i.e., close the deal.

In some companies, they also act as a surveyor, meaning they survey the market. This depends on the company and the duties they will perform, as well as how much they need to sub-divide the company.
