Is It Possible to Opt for Only PF Registration Without ESI? Seeking Advice

Dear Sir,

Is it compulsory to get registered for both the PF and ESI? I requested my employer only for PF registration, but they say that ESI is also compulsory. I want only PF registration and do not want ESI. Is it possible to have only PF membership and no membership for ESI?

If your organization employs 10 or more employees, then ESI is compulsory. If you employ 20 or more employees, then PF is also mandatory.
