Understanding Form 10C: Do 180 Days Include Weekends and Leave Without Pay?

naga_pf
How many days are needed to work in the organization to apply for Form 10C?

I heard from some individuals that it's 180 days. Can you explain to me if the 180 days refer to working days, including Saturdays and Sundays, and accounting for my Leave Without Pay (LOP)?

Dear Naga,

10c is an employee pension scheme for which you are eligible to withdraw after 6 months of continuous service or after you have worked 180 working days. Only then can you apply using form 10c.

Dear all,

The pension part of any contributor is forfeited by the EPFO if the period of service is less than 6 months, i.e., 180 pay days, not working days, i.e., including weekly offs, leaves, etc.

Hi Padrinath,

Working days include Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays, right? I worked from September 1st, 2015, to March 10, 2016. Every month, I had to take one day off, but my Form 10C was rejected. What should I do? Can you help me?

Thank you.

Dear Naga,

Below are the reasons for Form 10C being rejected:
- You may have forgotten to sign in the required areas.
- Missing any required fields such as Bank Details, DOB, BOJ, etc.
- However, please wait for some time as a detailed explanation, along with the original 10C, will reach you.

Regards,
Pandarinath

Dear Naga,

PF is not related to how many days you have worked in the establishment; it is based on the number of contributions you have made. If you have made less than 6 contributions, you cannot withdraw the EPS amount.

Vidhyadhar has rightly mentioned, please check the contribution period, whether it is 6 or less than 6. Secondly, have you received the rejection from the Department or are you just assuming it? For any rejection, the same will be intimated to you in writing, so please wait for it. If you have not received any rejection or money in your account, please file grievances online.
