Understanding the Role of an MBA in Finance as an HR Recruiter
I am not clear as to why the company would want to appoint an MBA in finance to the position of a recruiter in HR. The only reason it would make sense is if they need someone capable of understanding accounts and finance, and therefore able to interview and decide whether the candidates are fit for the post. If not, it seems someone is desperate to fulfill their number commitments.
The other side is, why would you want to move to a recruiter's job when you have chosen finance as your specialization? You have not provided us with details on that. Whether you will get work in your original area of specialization would depend on the college you studied at and various other factors we do not know. In some cases, taking up a job that you get, rather than sitting and waiting for jobs that are not available, makes sense. However, once you have gone into that position, it is doubtful anybody would consider you for positions in your original specialization.
