Dear Seniors, Greetings of the day! First of all, I would like to thank all the seniors who have advised individuals like me on practical knowledge, thereby immensely helping in handling various issues, gaining knowledge, and keeping us informed. Also, salute to CITE for the amazing job of keeping us all together - all in one, one in all.
Issue with a Permanent Female Employee
Sir, we seek advice on an issue concerning a permanent female employee who has been displaying neurological disorders such as convulsions. The most recent episode occurred two nights ago in the girls' hostel. Following the initial episode, which happened almost 15 days ago while on duty, we took her to a neurologist who prescribed medication and deemed her fit to work under medication only.
Unfortunately, the convulsions have recurred, causing concern regarding the safety of all. Additionally, it appears that this female employee has been abandoned by her family and may be at risk of suicide. Our other female staff are providing care to her on humanitarian grounds.
We are uncertain about the appropriate course of action, given our concerns:
1) If we advise the employee to seek proper medical attention and return with a medically fit certificate, there is a risk of suicidal behavior.
Seniors, please provide guidance on this matter. Your advice will help us navigate through this challenging situation.
Warm Regards,
A
