We are into Assembly of mobile handsets and some components of mobiles and our unit is in MAHARASHTRA.
Whether we fall in ENGINEERING or RESIDUARY category for MMW RULES?
As per MMW RULES for minimum wages; mobile handsets Assembly and some other mobile components manufacturing falls under ENGINEERING OR RESIDUARY category?
I think you will be in engineering category.
Residual is where you cant find any category to be in
One option where you are not sure is to ask the labour commissioner
Other is to take the higher of the 2 categories. I dont think the difference is significant anyway
