What Are the Mandatory Working Hours for Office Staff in a Startup? Seeking Guidance

I work in a Startup Software Company. I need to know what the mandatory working hours are for office staff. We have the 2nd and 4th Saturday off. Currently, I am responsible for Accounts & Corporate Legal Compliance. I am new to this domain and would appreciate any assistance.

40-48 hours a week is compulsory for any work, which is practiced universally. However, in practice, this may take an additional hour or so, depending upon the work, but beyond this period for clerical/labor level, employees are eligible for overtime work. Supervisor and managerial staff can receive perks instead of overtime as per company policy or at their boss's discretion.

In India, the maximum limit for work is 48 hours in a week. This excludes the breaks taken in between.

In India, the maximum working hours per week are 48. If a company operates on a 24x7 basis, the shifts will be 8 hours (including lunch) for night shifts and 9 hours (including lunch) for day shifts. Lunch should be scheduled after 5 hours of continuous work, but employees cannot be compelled to work for more than 6 hours without a break. The lunch break should be a minimum of 30 minutes. Overtime pay will be double the regular wages, but for managerial positions, there is no limit to the hours of work.
