Dear Cite HR Members,
I graduated in 2010 and, after that, I joined CTS (Cognizant) while waiting for my B-school waiting list results. During the training period, I finally received a call from the B-school confirming my selection, and I had to join within a week's time. The waiting list results usually take time to come out, and the time between the waiting list being cleared and the start of classes is quite short.
I informed my SPOC at CTS, but she told me to serve at least 15 days. My friends at CTS suggested I abscond, and that's what I did. After that, CTS never contacted me nor sent any legal documents.
I completed my post-graduation in 2012 and subsequently joined a European bank in the finance domain. I never disclosed my previous absconding incident, but I am always worried about my recruiter discovering this.
Recently, I received an offer letter from TCS to work in their finance domain. I am really concerned about whether CTS shares data of absconding employees with other major IT companies. I never registered on NSR, so my details are not there.
I am willing to pay any compensation to CTS to rectify my previous mistake. I want to keep my past clean so it doesn't affect my future.
Please advise!
Thanks,
Prabhu
