Understanding EPF Widow Pension: Is Her Minor Son Eligible Too?

Sir, my friend has learned that she is eligible for EPF widow pension. Is her minor son also entitled? Her husband was in service from October 2000 to March 2021.

Queries:
1) What is the calculation of her pension, and what is the amount?
2) What amount will her minor son be entitled to?

Dear Mitali Patowary,

I believe an EPFO member passed away while in service. If so, the widow is eligible to receive a pension equal to that of the member, subject to a minimum pension as specified in Table C. If the salary is Rs. 6,500 or above, this minimum amount is Rs. 2,051. Additionally, two children up to the age of 25 years are entitled to receive 25% each of the widow's pension.
