Is Investing in an XLRI HRM Certification Worth It for Career Growth Without a Tier 1 Degree?

I am an HR professional working with an IT company and have 3 years of experience. I am currently planning to pursue a HRM certification program from XLRI, which costs 1 lakh for a 6-month course. I would appreciate your suggestions on whether this certification will truly help me in my career growth prospects, considering I do not have any degree or diploma from tier 1 colleges.

If you want a quick-fix solution out of this certification, it will surely not help. It may not get you the hike at your current role or a big job hop. However, if you are looking at the long term, it is definitely the right thing to do. You will have an edge not just in terms of the certification but also the knowledge. Have you strategized your learning for the course?

I suggest you connect with people who have already completed the course. You can find names of professionals with the certification by searching on Google. Try to speak to them and understand what helped them.

Do you have the option to connect with the instructors delivering the course? Try to gain an understanding of what the course offers from them. Nothing helps better than learning from them!
