Torn Between Job Hunting and Further Studies: How Do You Decide What's Best?

I have just completed my graduation in Business Administration, and now I am in a dilemma whether to choose a job or to go for further study. My parents, family, and friends are of the opinion that it is very difficult to find a job nowadays, so they are putting great effort into helping me find a job. So please suggest to me as I have applied to some courses, and in between if a job is found, what should I do? Please advise.

As per my opinion, you should go for a job. If you want to study further, then you can opt for distance or correspondence education. After 2 years, you will have work experience as well as a postgraduate degree for better career growth. However, if you are targeting premium organizations to join with a very high package, then you will need a full-time postgraduate degree from premium institutes.

So decide accordingly and proceed. Good luck :)

I totally agree with the above suggestions. Meet with yourself first if you want a job or to pursue further study.

Secondly, I think you should go for further study because if you do not succeed with this investment, this reason will not be the cause of your failure eventually. You have enough years of age to find a job.

Financial problems do not matter if you really want it. Many students pursue studies by taking out loans, so why not you?

I had a talk with one of the managers of Torrent Pharmaceuticals about my job, and he said that BBA will give you a job, but your career growth will stop after 5 years once you are appointed as an EXECUTIVE. Is it true?

While I am not sure about the conversation between you and the pharmaceutical manager, based on my understanding and short experience, if one stops learning, whether through on-the-job training or further education, career growth will come to a halt irrespective of the industry.

Depending on your role as an executive, with current learning opportunities such as executive MBAs, career growth should not stop. I believe this will be your first job, so depending on your interests, you can always switch industries once you have some corporate experience and a broader knowledge of other opportunities.

I believe the feedback about your career coming to a halt was based on the assumption that you will not continue further education after your BBA. Perhaps you can have a clear discussion with the manager on this, which should solve your query.
