Hi Sridharan,

You may maintain the attendance in a simple Excel sheet only. Start with E-Code and Name of the employee, then put the column for Designation and Date of Joining. Then onwards, date and month. Below them, mark Present, Absent, Leave, or Holiday. By this way only, you may maintain it in a very simple way. Moreover, at the end, put the formula and calculate all the Absent and leaves taken in that month.

Hope it will help you to do the same.

Regards,
Amit Seth.

Hi Sridharan,

Manpower Information System is the complete information regarding the available manpower. It helps the management in decision-making, like identifying the reasons for resignation, areas with high attrition rates, and other factors crucial for decision-making. With the help of MIS, you can generate various reports, such as annual attrition, region-wise attrition, region-wise manpower distribution, and graphical representation of regional manpower status.

You can create similar reports at your end, which will assist you in preparing other formats as well.

I am outlining the contents by sheet:

First Sheet -

Details of employees
a. Employee Code
b. Name of Employee
c. Date of Birth
d. Designation
e. CTC
f. Address for Communication
g. Permanent Address
h. Contact Number
i. Blood Group
j. Maximum Qualification
k. Extra Qualifications
l. Total Experience

Second Sheet -

Salary Structure
List the complete salary structure in this sheet and include a column for post-revision salary.

Third Sheet -

New Joiners
List the names of new joiners for the month along with details like CTC, Designation, DOB, etc.

Fourth Sheet -

Resigned Employees
Record the names of employees who resigned during the particular month, including details such as name, designation, date of joining, date of resignation, and last working day.

Fifth Sheet -

Attrition Rate
Based on this MIS report, you can analyze the attrition rate, qualification analysis reports, team management reports, and other essential reports.

Hi Rahul,

Thanks for sharing this MIS format. Actually, I am also looking out for such kinds of reports to maintain employee records. There are more columns that I need to add to it. Once I make my MIS report, I will share that with everyone.

Hi Amit,

I read the material shared by you. It's really very helpful. However, there's one confusion I am having about the sheet with salary structure. How do we have salary structures of different employees on one single sheet? Please reply asap.

Thanks

Hi all,

Please tell me how I can change my profile from placement/recruitment to core HR. I have more than 4 years of experience, out of which 2 years were in placement. Currently, I am working in placement coordination, but I want to shift to core HR. Unfortunately, it is not possible to make this shift within my current organization.

Thanks

Hi, this is Sharik. I need urgently a format for the manpower information system and what all things can be calculated and analyzed from it except for attrition, joining, separation, and retention. What are the other attributes that can be analyzed? Please help me out for the project.
