Struggling to Get Maternity Benefits After a Year – What Should I Do Next?

I have been working in a Pvt. Ltd. Company for the last 5.3 years. Last year, I took Maternity Leave for 3 months (April '15 to June '15). However, my management did not provide Maternity benefits even though they approved it. I sent an email to the concerned department but did not receive any reply. I have been waiting for a response for the past year. Please suggest what I should do.

Please submit a formal application requesting Maternity benefits. If your request is denied or ignored, then you should contact the labor officer in your area to address the issue of being denied Maternity Benefits.

You are currently working for that company. You apparently have a stable job. You can always take up the matter with the help of the labor commissioner. However, please understand how it will affect your employment. You will get maternity leave wages, but will you still have a job after that?
