Hello Everyone,
To improve the quality of postings and to prevent members from focusing on amassing points to achieve better ranking, I have introduced a new rating system. This system allows members to rate each other on a per-post basis. The ratings are displayed in the topic view pages using a 5-star rating system, alongside your special ranks (which will now be determined by this rating system) as an average of all ratings received.
Members have the option to decline ratings for certain posts, particularly when they are only posting to express gratitude to another member or consider their post to be a non-essential addition to the discussion topic.
I believe this change will address the concerns raised by many members regarding the points system and its perceived inadequacy in evaluating the quality of members' posts accurately.
Additionally, I will soon implement a certification system that allows you to generate a summary of your contributions to the community, which can be added to your resume.
Regards,
CHR
Why And How To Rate Posts
- Rate a post if a member responds to your query or if you find the reply informative.
- Rate posts on a per-post basis rather than based on a member's rank or number of posts.
- Actively rating posts will enhance the quality of contributions on the site and acknowledge the expertise of knowledgeable members.
Any fraudulent rating activity aimed at lowering a member's rating will lead to the immediate removal of the offending member's account. Please be aware that all your ratings are recorded and can be reviewed if a complaint is filed by any member.
