Hello Everyone,
To improve the quality of postings and to avoid members from focusing on amassing points to get better ranking I have introduced the new rating system that lets members rate other members on a per post basis.
The rating is displayed in the topic view pages in 5 star rating system - the star rating will display along with your special ranks [which will now be based on this rating system] as an average of all the ratings received by a member.
Members can choose not to receive rating for certain posts where they are only posting to thank another member or believe the post to be an non-important addition to the topic of discussion.
I hope this will please all the members who have many time complained about the points system and how it does not judge any member's posting quality properly.
I will soon be deploying a certification system, which you can print out and add to your resume. The certification system will give a summary of your contributions to the community.
Regards,
CHR
Why And How To Rate Posts
* If a member replies to your query or you find the reply informative.
* Rate on a per post basis and not as per the rank or number of posts of the member.
* Being proactive in rating posts will help improve the quality of postings on the site and will give due credit to knowledgeable members.
* Any false rating on member account to reduce rating by intentionally giving low rating will result in immediate removal of the offending member's account. Please note that all ratings made by you are recorded and can be reviewed if a complaint is received from any member.
