Understanding the Projected DA Increase from July 2016: What Does It Mean for You?

As you know, the Industrial DA w.e.f 01.04.2016 for 2007 & 1997 scales are 112.4% and 258.5% respectively. With the release of the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of March & April 2016, the projected Industrial DA w.e.f 01.07.2016 will be 113.7% (an increase of 1.3%) & 260.9% (an increase of 2.4%) respectively.

Note: AICPI for May 2016 has yet to come. The final figure may vary accordingly.

With the release of the All India Consumer Price Index for the month of June 2016, the Projected Industrial DA with effect from 01.10.2016 will be 119.3% (an increase of 4.5%) and 270.3% (an increase of 7.7%) respectively.

With the release of the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of September, October, and November 2016, the Industrial DA with effect from 01.01.2017 for the 2007 and 1997 pay scales are 119.5% (a decrease of 0.8%) and 270.7% (a decrease of 1.7%) respectively.
