I am working as HR Manager in a hospital where recently have faced this case, the case is yet under discussion with the higher ups and i need your views and suggestion in this concern. This is regarding one of our Physiotherapist . We have tried our level best to make her see the requirement of hospital and of her colleagues also ( 1 lady & 2 gents) and attend work in Night shifts on rotation basis. But she has refused and has even told HR, that she will not work in Night shift ( minimum of 4 days or maximum 8 days in a month based on duty roster) and her services in the hospital can be terminated. She will not be alone in Night as minimum of 6 lady Nursing staff also will be working in ICU.
All reference records starting from her Appointment Letter (where in she has accepted to work in shifts as per hospital requirement) are enclosed with this mail and request for your guidance.
only thing is, if we are lenient with one staff it may not be a good precedence.
