EPF Withdrawal Confusion: How Long Did It Take for Yours to Be Credited?

Dear All,

I have submitted my EPF Withdrawal Form at the Bangalore office on May 26, 2016. I asked them when it will be credited, as someone mentioned 1 month and another said 7 days. One of my friends received it within 5 days, while another person got it in 2 months. Can anyone clarify how many days it normally takes?

Dear Dhanasekaran,

If all the necessary documents are submitted from your end, then it can be credited within 10 working days. Alternatively, it may go for a verification/rejection process (the form will be resent to the HR of your company). They have to check and resubmit to the PF office with the required documents along with a proper covering letter.

Thank you for your information. I have submitted all the documents, and they have been checked and acknowledged. However, I don't understand why it's taking so long, and I have yet to receive a confirmation SMS.
