I have been offered a salary package of 9.92 lpa by a company of which 8.00 lac is fixed and 1.92 lac is variable. the company has asked me to bifurcate salary structure on my own. I am confused. Can you please help me breakup my salary and allocate it under various heads to save maximum on tax? It can br broken under Basic Salary, Personal Allowance, Other allowance, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance apart from Leave Travel Allowance (Annually) and Medical Expenses ( Annually). Also there is an option for opting out of Provident Fund/Pension Fund. Please help me in allocating my monthly salary under various heads to take home maximum and save in taxes.
