How To Calculate LOP

Dear All,
I had a confusion regarding calculating LOP amount of employee
If employee workdays=28 month days=30 days
then employee gross=30000 per month
how to take basic amount i.e
(1). 30000*28/30 as gross (or)
(2). take 30000 as gross and then calculate LOP amount
Please give your suggestions

If you calculate salary =30000/30*28=28000
if you calculate LOP = 30000/30*2 = 2000

Salary is (Gross) 30000
Earned salary only change (Payable Gross ) 28000
If you need LOP Deduction (Gross 30000 - Payable Gross 28000 = lop amt 2000)

Your basic salary will reduce on (no of working day employee has worked)
