Understanding Compensation for a New Employee's Family After a Tragic Accident

Dear Sir,

I am working with G4S as an HR executive. Some time ago, a security guard passed away in a road accident while he was on his way for personal work. He had only joined the company just 10 days before.

Please inform me about the compensation the company will provide to his family and what type of compensation the HR department will manage.

He is entitled to his 10 days' pay. Is there any insurance coverage from the company's side? Could you please check his ESIC status and EPF status?

He will be entitled to 10 days' wages and other benefits, if any (in this case, it seems there are none).

Apart from that, if the accident or death occurs during the course of employment, then he will be entitled to compensation under the Workmen's Compensation Act or ESI Act, whichever is applicable.

What about compensation from the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, guys? This is one more avenue. It is felt to be correct.
