Unpaid for a Year: How Should I Handle My Employer's Broken Promise?

santoshpalivelahr@gmail.com
I worked for a school in East Godavari district named Vikas School. I was promised by my employer that the institution was running at a loss, so my salary would be paid later. Now, one year has passed, and my salary for that year has still not been paid. Please suggest what I should do now.

Have you sent a written reminder for unpaid salary?

Write to the District Education Officer (DEO), the area under whose jurisdiction the school falls, with full details - name of the school, period you worked, period for which you were not paid, and a copy of the appointment order received by you when you joined the school.

Are other teachers getting their pay on time? If not, join hands to get your legitimate dues.

Caution: The school may not appreciate it if you write to the DEO and may even terminate your employment.
