Should Start-ups Include Insurance Premiums in Gross CTC or Cover the Cost Themselves?

Is the group personal accident and Medicalim policy premium amount to be added to CTC, or does the employer have to bear this cost? We are a start-up, and 70% of the staff are in sales; hence, management decided to go for an insurance policy. As it is an expense to the company, is it mandatory to add it to Gross CTC or not? Please advise.

Yes, you can showcase this in the CTC. Tell them very clearly about the benefits as well. Some may not prefer to avail of this benefit. Inform them that this is the standard of the company, and exemptions cannot be granted.
